BLS Energieplan GmbH was founded in Berlin in 1984. BLS Energieplan is now represented at 6 locations. These are Berlin as the head office, as well as the other branches in Düsseldorf, Eisenhüttenstadt, Frankfurt am Main, Gießen and in the Hanseatic city of Greifswald.

EEW offers comprehensive services that include the planning, construction, financing and operation of your plants. In addition, the company provides process optimisation, regular maintenance and other support services to ensure the efficiency and reliability of your plants.

With the aim of reducing the costs for the considerable energy requirements of Pfanni GmbH & Co. OHG's production process, planning for the construction of a combined heat and power plant began in May 2005.

Since August 2007, the Pfanni production site in Stavenhagen has been supplied with process steam and electricity for the manufacture of potato products from the RDF CHP plant. Using approx. 95,000 tonnes of substitute fuels per year, the plant generates 220,000 tonnes of steam and 50 GWh of electricity per year. The CHP plant secures the energy supply for Pfanni production as well as its own supply.

The surplus electricity is fed into the grid of the regional energy supplier. The combined heat and power plant has also created 22 new jobs in the region.

EEW Energy from Waste Stavenhagen GmbH & Co. KG is a company of EEW Energy from Waste GmbH. The company was founded in 1873 as Braunschweigische Kohlen-Bergwerke (BKB) in Berlin. BKB entered the waste incineration business in 1990 and in 2003 became the E.ON Group's competence centre for waste incineration. From 2008, E.ON Energy from Waste (EEW) was the largest waste incinerator in Germany. In 2013, the company was spun off from the E.ON Group and became Energy from Waste. Energy from Waste GmbH is a leading company in the generation of electricity and heat through the thermal utilisation and disposal of waste.

Eggersmann GmbH is the Eggersmann Group's division for mobile recycling machines. With the powerful FORUS twin-shaft and TEUTON single-shaft shredders, it offers efficient and robust solutions for a wide range of materials. It also offers the TERRA SELECT drum and STAR SELECT star screen machines. These impress with their precise separation efficiency and particularly high throughput rates. With over 1500 BACKHUS windrow turners sold, Eggersmann GmbH is also the world market leader in the field of turning technology. AIRFIX windsifters are also part of the broad product portfolio.

Within the Eggersmann Group, Eggersmann GmbH, Eggersmann Anlagenbau, BRT HARTNER and BEKON together form Eggersmann Recycling Technology. Together, in addition to mobile machines, they also offer processes for mechanical and biological processing, the production of biogas and substitute fuels as well as the entire plant construction including stationary recycling machines.

The company is a spin-off of the University of Rostock and commenced work in the summer of 2008. ENVERO GmbH, based in Rostock, acts as an independent and internationally active engineering firm at the interface between science and industry. The ENVERO GmbH team of consultants has many years of experience in international knowledge and technology transfer. The core areas of envia THERM are sustainable district heating supply and renewable energy plants. The focus is on the implementation of projects for decentralised combined heat and power generation as well as the development and operation of renewable generation plants such as wind, photovoltaic, hydropower and biomass plants.

At the Malchin site, in the heart of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, around 20,000 tonnes of lemon peel are incinerated every year in addition to waste wood. The biomass cogeneration plant has an installed heat output of 30 MW and an installed electricity output of 10.6 MW.

The mission and business of IAG - Ihlenberger Abfallentsorgungsgesellschaft mbH is the disposal and treatment of waste. The focus is on landfilling. The fields of activity are:

• Ensuring the safety of waste disposal,
• Operating the landfill to the highest possible standard and
• Fulfilment of recultivation and aftercare obligations (result of landfill operation).

With 134 employees, IAG is one of the largest employers in the district of Nordwestmecklenburg. The total area of the site is 165 ha. There are 113 ha available for landfilling. Up to 4,000 tonnes of waste can be received and incorporated into the landfill body every day. The annual capacity is a maximum of 1 million tonnes of waste.

The Leibniz Institute for Plasma Science and Technology e. V. (INP) is one of the world's leading research institutes in the field of physical plasmas, their fundamentals and technical applications. With currently around 200 scientists, engineers and other specialists, the INP is the largest non-university research institute on low-temperature plasmas in Europe.

In addition to application-orientated basic research, the INP promotes the development of plasma-based processes and products. The institute conducts research and development from the idea to the prototype. The topics are orientated towards the requirements of the market. In addition to customised solutions in the field of plasma technology, the INP also offers services such as feasibility studies and consulting. Plasmas for renewable energies & bioeconomy, plasma chemistry & process technology and health & hygiene are currently at the centre of interest.

Innovative product ideas from INP research are explored directly with industry or transferred into marketable products and services through the institute's spin-offs. The INP also actively promotes the training and further education of young scientists and technicians in the field of low-temperature plasma physics in co-operation with universities, research institutes and industry. 

The institute is organised as a non-profit association and has been a member of the Leibniz Association (Leibniz-Gemeinschaft) since its foundation.

The Mecklenburg-Vorpommern State Centre for Renewable Energy acts as a central point of contact for the renewable energy sector in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Expertise is pooled and clubs and associations are networked. Consumers and entrepreneurs are to be informed and trained on the subject. In addition, a ‘Renewable Energies Network’ is to be established.

In addition to environmental protection, Leea e.V. aims to promote the use of renewable energies and the environmentally friendly use and saving of energy, as well as the promotion of science and research, education and training. The association creates a competent state network that operates in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. mele Biogas GmbH stands for the reliable realisation of small, single-stage farm plants up to large industrial plants of several megawatts. In addition to vertical fermenter technology for manure-heavy plants, horizontal tubular reactors are also used for difficult-to-digest substrates.

As a certified waste management company (EfbV) with a quality and environmental management system in accordance with ISO 9001/14001, Nehlsen offers numerous services. These include waste collection and container services, which include fast, inexpensive and flexible disposal solutions as well as the provision of collection containers in all sizes. Nehlsen also creates holistic waste management concepts that are customised to the needs of companies and include waste balances.

The company issues collective disposal certificates and thus enables the removal of typical hazardous waste such as asbestos or artificial mineral fibres. Hazardous waste is disposed of through the safe transport and professional treatment of solid and liquid hazardous waste. Nehlsen Stoffstrom GmbH & Co. KG bundles the Group's activities in the field of raw material recycling and markets more than 750,000 tonnes of processed raw materials worldwide every year. Materials such as waste paper, plastics, metals, substitute fuels and waste wood are collected and processed using suitable treatment and recycling methods so that the raw materials they contain can be fed back into the industrial production process.

OVVD GmbH is the municipal waste disposal company for the districts of Mecklenburgische Seenplatte, Vorpommern-Greifswald and Vorpommern-Rügen. It has been operating the central waste disposal facility (class II domestic waste landfill) in Rosenow and waste transfer stations in the company's territory since 1997.

With the construction and operation of these stations in each district, a comprehensive logistics system was established to optimise the transport of waste to Rosenow for disposal.

In 2003, OVVD GmbH founded the subsidiary ABG mbH with the private waste disposal companies Remondis and Nehlsen, which built the mechanical-biological waste treatment plant (MBT) at the Rosenow site in 2004 and put it into operation on 1 June 2005. Since then, household waste, bulky waste and commercial waste similar to household waste have been treated mechanically and biologically in the plant in accordance with statutory regulations, so that they are finally disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner at the landfill after separation of recyclable materials such as wood, ferrous and non-ferrous metals and high-calorific plastics and subsequent biological treatment.

Since 2016, OVVD has been producing high-quality compost for agriculture, gardening and landscaping at its composting plant in Reinberg from biological waste from the district of Vorpommern-Rügen.

REMONDIS Nord, together with its subsidiaries, associated companies and branches, offers customised waste and recycling management solutions for local authorities, industrial and commercial businesses, retail companies and private customers. S.I.G.-DR.-ING. STEFFEN GmbH is active in planning and consulting in almost all sectors of environmental protection and the associated construction projects. The Business and Science Centre Brazil - Germany (WWZ - BD) was officially opened on 5 June 2000 under the patronage of the then Ambassador of the Federative Republic of Brazil, Roberto Abdenur, and in the presence of the President of the Parliament of the State of Brandenburg, Herbert Knoblich, and more than 100 representatives from politics and business. The first president was Mr Jörg Sommerlath, an employee of the Brazilian embassy and brother of Queen Silvia of Sweden. The current president of the association is Mrs Jutta Blumenau-Niesel, great-granddaughter of the founder of Blumenau.

Since its foundation, the WWZ - BD has been managed by the lawyer Mr Hans-Dieter Beuthan, Berlin. The organisation has offices in São Paulo and Santa Catarina.
