Business, science and innovation:

focusing on global partnerships

Our network brings together a wide range of business players with extensive expertise in the areas of waste and recycling management, resource efficiency, material flow management, water and wastewater technology, and energy generation. Together, we develop sustainable solutions for the efficient use of resources, environmental protection and the promotion of a circular economy. Engineers and engineering service providers offer a wide range of planning services in accordance with the German Fee Structure for Architects and Engineers (HOAI) in various fields of environmental engineering, such as waste management, water and wastewater technology, plant engineering, infrastructure, energy and building construction. In addition, we are active in occupational safety and quality assurance. Our members from the science sector, including scientific companies and associations, work closely with universities, such as the University of Rostock and the Chair of Waste and Material Flow Management. A particular focus is on international cooperation. Our globally active members actively promote bilateral relations between the countries of the MENA region (Middle East and North Africa), China and Brazil. The focus here is on delegation trips and technology transfer, especially with regard to the sustainable recycling of industrial and municipal material flows, both nationally and internationally. This results in numerous points of contact in the fields of business, science and research.

BLS Energieplan GmbH

BLS Energieplan GmbH was founded in Berlin in 1984. It has always been the company's declared aim to make an active contribution to climate protection and the transformation to a sustainable energy supply. BLS Energieplan is now represented at 6 locations. These are Berlin as the head office, as well as the other branches in Düsseldorf, Eisenhüttenstadt, Frankfurt am Main, Gießen and in the Hanseatic city of Greifswald.

In a holistic approach, BLS Energieplan provides planning services in accordance with HOAI in the areas of energy systems, energy infrastructure and technical building equipment, which are structured in corresponding organisational units. These competences are supplemented by consulting services from the Consulting division, which offers technical, regulatory, licensing, economic and strategic consulting services for a further range of issues in the energy industry. This application-orientated combination of planning and consulting services is the key unique selling point of BLS Energieplan. Thanks to this approach, both vertical and horizontal projects can be comprehensively analysed and integrally developed, as was successfully demonstrated, for example, in the holistic implementation of the EUREF Campus in Berlin.

In addition, the consulting expertise also enables strategic support for companies, local authorities and public institutions in the development and implementation planning of climate protection concepts. This means that political decision-making processes can be anticipated and actively shaped at an early stage. The knowledge gained in this way allows BLS Energieplan to keep its internal planning expertise in line with the times.

BLS Energieplan has been part of the internationally active Dorsch Group based in Germany since 2022. The close networking of the companies within the Dorsch Group (including companies such as Krebs & Kiefer, Spiekermann Ingenieure, PB Consult and others) enables holistic solutions from a single source and an interdisciplinary exchange of experience at national and international level.

Since 2024, the tasks of the second generation of the company's management have been carried out by the former authorised signatories Silke Knies and Dr Juan José Victoria Villeda.

EEW Energy from Waste Stavenhagen GmbH & Co. KG

EEW Energy from Waste Stavenhagen GmbH & Co. KG supplies you with the energy you need from substitute fuels such as steam, electricity, cooling, compressed air and process water to keep your production processes running smoothly.

EEW offers comprehensive services that include the planning, construction, financing and operation of your plants. In addition, the company provides process optimisation, regular maintenance and other support services to ensure the efficiency and reliability of your plants.

With the aim of reducing the costs for the considerable energy requirements of Pfanni GmbH & Co. OHG's production process, planning for the construction of a combined heat and power plant began in May 2005.

Since August 2007, the Pfanni production site in Stavenhagen has been supplied with process steam and electricity for the manufacture of potato products from the RDF CHP plant. Using approx. 95,000 tonnes of substitute fuels per year, the plant generates 220,000 tonnes of steam and 50 GWh of electricity per year. The CHP plant secures the energy supply for Pfanni production as well as its own supply.

The surplus electricity is fed into the grid of the regional energy supplier. The combined heat and power plant has also created 22 new jobs in the region.

EEW Energy from Waste Stavenhagen GmbH & Co. KG is a company of EEW Energy from Waste GmbH. The company was founded in 1873 as Braunschweigische Kohlen-Bergwerke (BKB) in Berlin. BKB entered the waste incineration business in 1990 and in 2003 became the E.ON Group's competence centre for waste incineration. From 2008, E.ON Energy from Waste (EEW) was the largest waste incinerator in Germany. In 2013, the company was spun off from the E.ON Group and became Energy from Waste. Energy from Waste GmbH is a leading company in the generation of electricity and heat through the thermal utilisation and disposal of waste.

Ostmecklenburgisch-Vorpommersche Verwertungs- und Deponie GmbH

OVVD GmbH is the municipal waste disposal company for the districts of Mecklenburgische Seenplatte, Vorpommern-Greifswald and Vorpommern-Rügen. It has been operating the central waste disposal facility (class II domestic waste landfill) in Rosenow and waste transfer stations in the company's territory since 1997.

With the construction and operation of these stations in each district, a comprehensive logistics system was established to optimise the transport of waste to Rosenow for disposal.

In 2003, OVVD GmbH founded the subsidiary ABG mbH with the private waste disposal companies Remondis and Nehlsen, which built the mechanical-biological waste treatment plant (MBT) at the Rosenow site in 2004 and put it into operation on 1 June 2005. Since then, household waste, bulky waste and commercial waste similar to household waste have been treated mechanically and biologically in the plant in accordance with statutory regulations, so that they are finally disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner at the landfill after separation of recyclable materials such as wood, ferrous and non-ferrous metals and high-calorific plastics and subsequent biological treatment.

Since 2016, OVVD has been producing high-quality compost for agriculture, gardening and landscaping at its composting plant in Reinberg from biological waste from the district of Vorpommern-Rügen.

OVVD and its subsidiary ABG guarantee their shareholders long-term disposal security for the environmentally friendly disposal of the waste delivered.
