BePacMan workshop in Gdansk

The Gdańsk University of Technology is organizing a 2-day hybrid workshop on 29 August 2023 as part of the BePacMan project, which will focus on the opportunities and challenges of packaging use and policy in the southern Baltic Sea region. The workshop will provide a platform to develop a common strategy for the future application of the project.

The event will start with a welcome and an overview of the project, followed by discussions on various topics such as the paper packaging market, the paper waste management system in Lithuania, measures to promote sustainability in the Pomeranian region and the responsible management of industrial packaging waste. In addition, information on the 2nd Interreg South Baltic call will be presented.

On the second day, an excursion will take participants to Mondi Świecie, a European paper recycling company and manufacturer of paper for corrugated board production.
