This week, enviMV invited us to the 2024 general meeting in Selmsdorf, on the premises of Ihlenberger Abfallentsorgungsgesellschaft (IAG), one of our members.
Mr Forster and Mr Büchner gave us a warm welcome and opened the meeting with an exciting bus tour of the extensive landfill site. Our members were able to see the current changes in the various landfill sections and the work in the company's own laboratory live and gained insights into a particularly interesting future project:
a new industrial estate on the IAG site, which is to be developed into a ‘green technology park’.
The plan is to attract companies that fit in with the circular economy and energy concept, as well as facilities for renewable energy production and sector coupling.
After the formal part – with the usual votes, elections and reports – we added an additional item to the agenda this time, which served to promote intensive exchange among members. Information on the latest projects and developments of the member companies was shared here and needs and resources in the association were discussed together.
A valuable conclusion to a thoroughly successful meeting!
